This reminds me a lot of the "Wood Between the Worlds" in one of CS Lewis's books; I forget which one.

Wow I stumbled upon this piece and I must admit I am quite impressed at the never-ending roots of the trees. Is this part manipulated or did you find a ancient forest around for good?

I manipulated the color and contrast and made the 'dark path' darker.
Otherwise everything you see is there.
